When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

 

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

 

Contact forms

User data entered into contact forms and submitted is stored indefinitely. In the case of users signing up for email lists, that data is stored in Mailchimp. Users may opt-out at any time from these lists.

Customer data for orders is shared with our Shipmonk account. No payment data is sent to that account. Also, order data is shared with our accounting software and in that case no credit card data is shared with those systems.

Website administrators can also see and edit that information.f you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

Any detected data breaches will trigger a full audit of all systems. If any personal information about users is exposed, all affected users will be contacted and passwords will be locked. During an active security event, the site will be brought down to block attacks.
